What is small group personal training?

Small group (semi-private) personal training means you train with a professional coach and only 1–5 other people. You follow a proven, structured strength program that your coach adjusts for your goals, injuries and fitness level, and the coach corrects your form every set. You get the attention of personal training plus the energy and accountability of a small group, for much less than private 1-on-1 sessions.

How much does personal training cost in Vaughan?

Small group personal training at Perspect-IV starts from $79 per week, with nutrition coaching and accountability check-ins included rather than sold separately. For comparison, private 1-on-1 personal training in the GTA often costs $70 or more for a single session. Your exact price depends on how many sessions per week you choose, and we'll confirm it at your free consultation.

Is small group personal training better value than 1-on-1 personal training?

For most people, yes. With 1-on-1 training you pay for a trainer's full session, which often costs $70 or more per session in the GTA, so training 2–3 times a week adds up quickly. In small group training you still have a coach watching every set and adjusting your program, but you share that coach with only 1–5 other people, so each session costs much less. You also get the energy and accountability of training with others, and nutrition coaching and check-ins are included. 1-on-1 can still make sense if you want complete privacy.

How is Perspect-IV different from Orangetheory or F45?

Orangetheory and F45 are franchise group fitness studios. Their classes are usually built around one workout for the whole room, often with 15–30 or more people, following a format set by head office: Orangetheory is built around heart-rate zones, and F45 uses circuit stations guided by TV screens. They are a good fit if you want a high-energy class. Perspect-IV is small group personal training: 2–6 people per coach, a structured strength program with separate programs for men and women, and a coach who adjusts your exercises for your level, injuries and progress and corrects your form every set. Nutrition coaching and accountability check-ins are included. If you are a beginner, training around pain, or want a coach who knows you and your program, you get far more coaching at Perspect-IV, for a price much closer to a group class than to private training. Class sizes, formats and prices at other studios vary by location.

How is small group training different from a bootcamp or group fitness class?

In a bootcamp or group class, everyone does the same workout at the same pace and one instructor leads the whole room, so there is little time to check your form or adjust exercises for you. At Perspect-IV, groups are capped at 2–6 people per coach. You follow a proven, structured program, and your coach adjusts the day's workout for your level and any injuries, with progressions as you get stronger and regressions when you need them. That is why beginners and people with back, knee or shoulder pain do well here.

Why pay more than a regular gym membership?

A regular gym membership gives you access to equipment, but no coach, no program and no one checking in when life gets busy. At Perspect-IV you are paying for results: a coach at every session, a proven program adjusted for you, nutrition coaching and accountability. Our members have lost anywhere from 16 lbs to more than 100 lbs. Results vary from person to person.

I'm a complete beginner. Is this right for me?

Yes. Most of our members started with little or no gym experience, and many told us regular gyms intimidated them. Every workout is scaled to you, and your coach teaches every movement step by step. You will never be thrown into something you are not ready for.

What are your hours?

Monday and Wednesday: 6 to 10:30 AM and 4 to 9 PM. Tuesday: 9 to 10 AM and 4 to 9 PM. Thursday: 9 to 10 AM and 4:30 to 9 PM. Friday: 6 to 11 AM and 4 to 7 PM. Saturday: 8 AM to 12:30 PM. Closed Sundays. Our team answers calls and texts Monday to Friday 6 AM to 9 PM and Saturday 8 AM to 1 PM.

Can I train if I have high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol?

Many of our members train with conditions like high blood pressure, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes, and high cholesterol. Before you start, we ask about your health and may ask you to get clearance from your doctor. Our coaches then adjust your exercises and intensity to suit you and follow any guidance your doctor gives. We are a training studio, not a medical clinic: we do not diagnose, treat or manage medical conditions, and our coaching is not a substitute for medical care. Please keep working with your doctor on your condition and any medication.

Is nutrition coaching included?

Yes. Every program includes nutrition and lifestyle coaching: a realistic eating plan built around foods you already like, plus habit coaching for sleep, energy, stress and consistency. No crash diets.

How often do I need to train?

Most members train 2–3 times per week in 45-minute sessions. That is enough to see real results when it is paired with good nutrition, and it fits around work and family.

How fast will I see results?

Most members notice more energy and strength within 2–4 weeks. Visible body changes usually show within 6–12 weeks. Our members' documented results include 16 lbs in 3 months, 30 lbs in 4 months, and one member who lost over 100 lbs in about 10 months.

Can I train with back pain or an old injury?

Usually, yes. Our programs are designed by a coach with a kinesiology degree, we have a registered physiotherapist on our team, and we screen how you move before your first workout. Exercises are modified around your injury so you can get stronger without aggravating it. If something needs medical attention, we will tell you and refer you.

Is it women-friendly?

Very. Many of our members are women, including busy moms and women managing things like PCOS or postpartum changes. Groups are small and welcoming, and nobody is judged for where they're starting.

How do I get started?

Fill in the short form on this page or call (647) 696-7352. We'll book a free consultation to go over your goals, check how you move, and recommend a plan. There's no pressure and no commitment to join.

Why not just join a regular gym?

A regular gym gives you equipment. We give you a plan, a coach watching your form, nutrition guidance, and people who notice when you don't show up. That accountability is why our members get results they couldn't get on their own.

Do you offer corporate wellness programs?

Yes. We run workplace health and injury-prevention workshops and team training for local employers, including manufacturing and industrial workplaces. Contact us to plan one for your team.
